This sweet boy has been given a new lease on life. He was dropped off an an animal clinic to be euthanized because his family could no longer care for him. Due to his good health and curious, sweet nature the clinic wanted to give him a second chance.

Petey gets overly excited when he sees other dogs which may seem like aggression – we are working with him on his socialization skills. He has not lived with a cat, but when introduced to one through a crate in the clinic, they touched noses then he lost interest. He was able to explore a farm and had no reaction when a chicken flew at him.

Petey LOVES going for rides in the car and being wherever his human is. It seems all he wants to do at his foster home is play fetch, and he enjoys hiding his toys in the cushions. He doesn’t walk very well on a leash and doesn’t seem to understand many commands, so Petey would benefit from some basic training along with continued socialization (Petey’s foster family is working hard on his leash manners.)
